Steph and I were getting ready for the kids' birthday party and the guys were all out for the afternoon so after G & A woke up from their naps we took all the kids to Ko'Olina for a walk and evening picnic. We met Jenn and her girls there so in total we had 3 moms and 6 kids (Makaela 3, Gavin almost 3, Abby almost 2, Zack 8 months, Dylan 3 months, Mia 1 month).
We made it for a walk with only a few pit stops for bottles and snacks for Abby, the snack MONSTER. After our walk, Steph went back to all of the cars to get the food while Jenn and I watched the kiddos. Later, Jenn took the big kids to the bathroom and Steph fed Dylan and I watch Zack and Mia. As I was watching the kids play and the moms in and out of taking care of business I kept thinking man, it really does take a village to raise kids and it makes it tons more fun to do it with friends! Even though not all of them were here on this evening, I am so grateful to have such good friends and moms to go to for advice and learn about parenting with.
